Jenica Willis
Owner | Founder | LM,CPM | LVN | IBCLC
Hi there! My name is Jenica, and I am the owner and founder of The Nest & Company. I am a newly Licensed & Certified Professional Midwife (LM, CPM). I have been a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for 10 years and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) for five years. At The Nest, I wear many hats. You may see me doing everything from teaching and cleaning to getting on and off my soap box about the state of our maternal and reproductive healthcare in the United States.
I come from a very blended family. I have seven sisters and two brothers. I grew up in Reno, NV, and moved to Bakersfield, CA, during my junior year of high school. I graduated from Liberty High in 2007.
I married the best man I know in 2014. I have two bonus now-adult kids (insert crying emoji), and I am an IVF mom to an amazing little girl I birthed at home. I have a crazy heeler, a loud chihuahua, a lint roller in my car, and a desert tortoise that roams my backyard.
I enjoy baking, gardening, camping, reading, warm fuzzy socks, anything coconut-flavored, and live music.
I have poured my heart and soul into The Nest, and I hope you feel heard, cared for, and respected from the moment you walk through our doors. I am extremely fortunate to serve my community in this capacity. It is an honor and a privilege to do this work.

Vivian Bishop
Director of Operations & Communications | Birth Assistant |
Childbirth Educator | Doula
Hi, I’m Vivian! I’m a wife and a mom to two amazing boys, and a proud member of The Nest team since 2019. While much of my work as the Director of Operations happens behind the scenes, helping keep things organized and running smoothly, I’m also grateful for the opportunity to serve families in a more hands-on way as a childbirth educator, birth assistant, and doula.
I’m deeply passionate about The Nest and the mission behind the work we do. Being able to support families during such a transformative and meaningful season of life is incredibly fulfilling, and I feel so fortunate to contribute in the ways that I do. I love being part of a team that is not only passionate about what we do, but genuinely cares about the families we serve.
To say I enjoy my roles at The Nest would be an understatement. I’m truly grateful for this work, for the incredible people I get to collaborate with, and for all that I’ve learned along the way.
When I’m not at The Nest, you’ll most likely find me with an iced coffee in hand, getting lost in a good book, or spending time with my family.

Stacie Bingham
Childbirth Educator | Lactation Counselor
I’m married to an incredibly patient man who is the love of my life. We have four sons, and we finally got a girl when our oldest married his college sweetheart. I'm grateful for my family and all I've learned of love and life through our relationships.
Our family fosters orphan kittens and we have a knack for bottlefed-babies. I love music and always look forward to taking in live shows. I'm currently back in school, and I think when I grow up I want to be a therapist. Someday when life slows down, I want to write a book called "Building Your Plant Army Through Cloning, Pruning, and Thievery." When I'm not spending time with new families, or my family, I can be found swimming laps with my MP3 player, dreaming I'm a mermaid.
Lindsay Bailey

She received her Bachelor's in Journalism and Media Studies from Humboldt State University and returned to Bakersfield to raise her family. After learning so much in the process of feeding her own children, Lindsay has been working with breastfeeding families since 2017 and became an IBCLC in 2020. She is committed to providing evidence-based information and individualized clinical care to all families. Lindsay is a hospital-based IBCLC who's excited to expand her care to dyads beyond those first few days after birth. When Lindsay finds a spare moment in the chaos of work/life balance, she enjoys gardening, quilting, and making ice cream.

Sara Taylor
Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) | Birth Assistant
Hi there! I’m Sara, and I’m so excited to be joining the team at The Nest & Company as we support families in this beautiful world of birth work.
I’m a Registered Nurse (BSN, RN) with experience caring for tiny babies in the NICU. After taking time away from nursing to raise my two wonderful children, I’m thrilled to dive into something new and meaningful here at The Nest.
In 2014, I married my best friend, and I still love waking up next to him every morning. Our two young children keep life full and fun, and family time is everything to us. When I do catch a quiet moment, I love experimenting with baking and cooking from scratch, crafting, gardening, and hanging out with friends and family.
